Ray Donald drilled a 3-pointer with :01 left on the clock as #22 Auburn gained its first SEC road win of the season 73-70 over Florida before 9,912 in the O'Connell Center. The Tigers enjoyed its biggest lead at 64-52 with 4:02 left in the game before the Gators came storming back to tie it at 70-70 on a LeRon Williams 3-pointer with :19 remaining. Wes Flanigan, who had a game-high 10 assists brought the ball down court, dribbled around the top of the key and then dished it to Donald with the game-winner. Florida jumped out to a 14-4 lead five minutes into the game and led 23-14 before the Tigers reeled off 10 straight points to take their first lead at 24=23 with six minutes left in the half. The Gators, who led 29-28 at intermission, held a 49-48 lead with 10:54 left in the game when Auburn went on another 10-0 run. Flanigan drilled a one-handed 3-pointer in traffic just prior to the shot clock expiring to give the Tigers a 51-49 lead. He then stole the in-bounds pass and made a layup. Lance Weems, who scored a team-high 18 points and pulled down a team-high 7 rebounds, drilled a trey for a 56-49 Auburn lead. Flanigan then had a thunderous dunk to push the lead to nine to cap off the Tigers' run. Pat Burke totaled 16 points and 6 boards while Franklin Williams chipped in 12 points and Donald 11 (3-3 treys). Missed free throws down the stretch allowed the Gators to tie it as Auburn finished 7-14 from the foul line for the game, but was 10-21 from 3-point range. LeRon Williams scored a career-high 25 points to lead Florida. Leading scorer Dametri Hill, who finished with 17 points, only had 3 in the final half. Auburn committed a season-low 9 turnovers while Florida committed 8.
